Project Manager/Landscape Architect

The mission of the landscape architect/ project manager will be to take a leadership role; to influence high quality design; and to promote green infrastructure solutions to the development industry.

Project types will include mixed use, commercial (office and retail), multi-family residential, environmental, institutional and infrastructure work.

This position will provide a broad range of opportunities including preparation of designs and working drawings, planting design, grading, communication with the clients, approval authorities, and contractors; pre and post design field work; preparation of presentation drawings; and responsibility for meeting project related budgets. You will also be tasked with scheduling, budgeting and working with junior team members for the completion of projects.

Qualifications – Essential

  • Background in Landscape Architecture
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience working as a landscape architect/ project manager
  • Experience working with the development community
  • Excellent AutoCAD skills
  • Aptitude to learn quickly, be proactive and take initiative
  • Ability to navigate approvals processes and client requirements
  • Exceptional knowledge of native plant material
  • Experience with contract administration
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for ZipCar
  • Resident of the City of Toronto
