The development of the site for this new industrial building in the Streetsville district of Mississauga considered existing vegetation as a significant asset.
The frontage of this industrial subdivision was planted by the developer 15 years prior to the development of this site. A key consideration for development was the preservation and integration of the mature vegetation to appease the adjacent residential development and to screen shipping areas.
Brodie & Associates designed an armor stone wall to retain the vegetation, while ensuring that the tenants enjoyed harmonious views from the inside of the building.
Riparian plantings along Wabukayne Creek protect the natural resources of the watershed and satisfy the requirements of the Credit Valley Conservation Authority.
