King’s Christian Collegiate

This Christian High School in Oakville was originally developed as a campus on a rural, wooded property. Through 6 phases of development, the 4ha site has become surrounded by development. The site accommodates a 5,850 m2 school building, 225 parking spaces, a pond, a large outdoor amenity space, trails, tennis courts and sports fields.

The final phase consists of an auditorium addition with an expanded outdoor plaza for weddings and school functions. Preservation of existing vegetation was critical in maintaining the natural character of the site.

The pond features natural stone and both native and ornamental plantings to serve as a feature area for gatherings outside the cafeteria and auditorium spaces. Aquatic species have been integrated into the pond for aeration and water quality.
