Virerra Village

Virerra Village is a landmark multi-use residential/commercial/retail development in Kitchener that incorporates an on-site transit hub. All parking for this 4-tower development is below grade, allowing for a variety of active and passive pedestrian spaces. Kitchener Transit busses also enter the parking garage, creating a true transit hub.

The development of the site encourages residents to engage with the community through the provision of a variety of social spaces. A pedestrian spine follows the light rail line creating a pedestrian street.

Low impact development is a key in the development of the site. Preliminary designs incorporate a channel system to collect and clean storm water for storage and re-use through a storm water management pond.
